Pot Stickers
 
 
1/2 lb. ground pork                                                  1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. green onions                                                 1 Tbsp. corn starch
1 tsp. soy sauce                                                       pot sticker wrappers
2 tsp. sesame seed oil                                           1/2 c. water        
1 c. cabbage, minced
2 tsp. ginger, minced fine (optional)
 
 
 
1. Combine pork, green onions, soy sauce, sesame seed oil, cabbage,             
    salt and corn starch, in a mixing bowl.
 
2. Place a spoonful of the filling in each wrapper, seal edge with water. Crimp edges              
    shut, forming a ruffled pattern.
 
3. In a skillet , place about 2 Tbsp. of vegetable oil, for frying. Place pot stickers,             
    bottom side down in skillet. Turn stove heat to high and fry until bottom is
    golden brown.
 
4. Pour in water and cover with lid. Reduce to medium heat for 1 minute, then turn     
    heat off. Let steam at least 5-10 minutes. Do not open lid, until after steaming
    time is over.
 
5. Serve with sweet chili sauce or dipping sauce.
 
Dipping Sauce:
 
1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
2 Tbsp. sugar
5 Tbsp. shoyu
