PIZZA
 
 
 
Crust
 
3 cups flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. veg. oil
1 1/2 tsp. dry yeast
1 1/4 cup lukewarm water
 
 

 
 1.    In a large mixing bowl, place water, yeast, sugar, salt, oil.  Stir to combine with a fork.

 2.    Add flour to liquid mixture. Mix flour into liquid, using a wooden spoon. Continue mixing until all flour is       absorbed by liquid. No dry flour left in bowl. Kneading can be done in the bowl.

3.    Form dough into a ball.

4.    In a gallon size ziplock bag, spray liberally some non spick spray, PAM.

5.    Place dough into bag and seal. Refrigerate until ready to use.

When you are ready:


6. Lightly grease a large pizza pan and sprinkle with corn meal. This will prevent
    the dough from sticking. 
 
7. Open ziplock bag. Press or roll dough flat to square shape of bag. Cut open plastic bag so the dough can be     flopped onto the pizza pan.
 
8. After placing dough on pan, stretch and press dough to size.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Pizza Sauce
 
8 oz. tomato puree                       
1/2 t. salt or seasoned salt
1/8 tsp. pepper                                                
1 Tbsp. olive oil                                            
1 tsp. oregano leaves
1 clove garlic smashed and minced
 
Combine all ingredients in a 4 cup glass measuring cup. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 1 minute. Might not need to use all the sauce made. Use enough sauce to coat the dough,do not flood the dough with sauce.
 
 
 
Topping
 
shredded mozzarella cheese
pepperoni, sliced thin
other toppings of your choice may be added.
 
Using a cheese grater, shred cheese on a large plate.
 
 
Assembling Pizza
 
1. Spread sauce over pizza dough. Do Not flood the dough, use enough  
     sauce to coat the dough.
 
2. Sprinkle cheese over sauce.
 
3. Place pepperoni over cheese.
 
 
Bake Pizza in a preheated oven at 425 degrees. Pizza is done when, crust is slightly brown and cheese starting to bubble.
 
Baking
For best results, a gas oven works well to produce a crispy bottom crust. Place pan directly on to the floor panel inside the gas oven for about 10 minutes. Move to middle rack to finish. As soon bottom of crust is brown and crispy , it is done.
