Sweet Cinnamon Biscuit Rolls
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup buttermilk ( substitute for buttermilk can be reg. milk with 1 Tbsp. vinegar
added)
2 Tbsp. sugar
For center of cinnamon roll
2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) butter or margarine softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9-inch round baking pan
lightly, with non stick spray.
2. Combine flour, baking powder, salt ,sugar and baking soda in a medium bowl and
mix well. Combine buttermilk and oil in a measuring cup. Pour into flour mixture,
and mix.
3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth. About 5-7 strokes. Roll dough
into a 15 x 8-inch rectangle. Making sure that dough does not stick to the counter
top.
4. Spread butter over the dough. Combine granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small
bowl and mix well. Sprinkle over butter. Roll up rectangle, jelly roll fashion, starting
from one long side.
5. Cut the roll into 1 inch slices. Arrange the slices in prepared baking pan.
Bake until lightly browned, about 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven.
6. Drizzle icing glaze over top.
