Broiled Burgers (dry heat cooking)
                                       
 
 
 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
1/4 cup minced, round onion ( optional )
1/4 cup bread crumbs (optional)
1 egg
Hamburger Buns
 
1. Combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, onion,bread crumbs and egg . Mix well.
 
2. Divide into equal portions according to the number of people
    in your group. 4-6 people. Form into round balls.
 
3. Shape into flat patties, 4-6 inches in dia. Use waxed paper and bottom of salad plate
    to press and shape patti . Transfer to broiling pan.
 
4. Adjust rack in oven so that the broiler pan is about 4 inches
    from broiler.
 
5. Broil hamburgers about 5-7 minutes on first side then turn them over    
    to cook other side, for another 5 minutes.
 
 
6. Place patti on hamburger bun and top with lettuce, tomato, mustard,  
    ketchup etc..  Be creative and invent new burger variations.
